Lakes and Pools in and around Morzine
The area around Morzine is full of beautiful mountain lakes and rivers. Visitors can enjoy fishing, swimming, windsurfing, white water activities and more. There are rules about what you can do, and where, at each lake but just do as the locals do. Many lakes offer children's playgrounds, volleyball, water tobbogans and snack bars or restaurants.
Fishing in the Area
There are many places in the area to catch the highly sought after Lake Geneva Trout. Montriond Lake, Mine d'Or Lake Plan du Rocher Lake and the Dranse River are all great spots close by. A fishing permit is required to fish in the area. Permits can be purchased for the day, a holiday period or for the season. The season usually lasts from April to the beginning of October. Swimming Pools
Morzine has a wonderful swimming centre with an indoor Olympic sized pool, heated outdoor pool, two kiddy pools as well as it's own beach! This sandy area is great for lounging or playing a game of volley ball. The swimming centre also has a toboggan, table tennis, activity area, aqua gym, a bouncy castle, bar restaurant and more! Avoriaz also has a nice swimiming centre with a large heated pool and a small kiddy pool.
Fees for the Avoriaz swimming centre: 3.40⬠adult, 2.60⬠kids -16 and family cards available.
